The Ministry of Health has set the service fees of the Medical Liability Authority from 1 November 2026. Ministerial Decision No. 351 of 2026 was published in Kuwait Al-Youm Issue 1814, page 12, dated 25 October 2026 (the decision is dated 21 October 2026).

The fee that matters most is KD 200 for forming an objection committee to review a technical committee's report (Article 1). It is payable within 30 days of the date the objectors are notified that their objection has been accepted. Under Article 2, if the fee is not paid in that period, the objection is treated as if it was never filed.

The 30 days sit on top of an earlier deadline. Under Law No. 70 of 2020, the Authority gives the technical opinion on alleged medical errors in public and private healthcare, and Article 49 gives the parties 15 days from receiving the report, or notice of it, to object by a reasoned memo. A report that is not challenged in time becomes final, so the objection is the only route to a second committee.

The decision also sets KD 20 for each extra copy of a technical committee report, and KD 20 each for two administrative services (those for health professions and establishments, and for health licences).

WEFAQ's view: doctors, clinics and hospitals with a complaint before the Authority should diarise both deadlines now, 15 days to file and 30 days to pay once the objection is accepted, and name someone responsible for the payment step, since missing it costs the objection itself.
